Sesame chicken is a popular Chinese-American dish consisting of fried or baked boneless, skinless chicken breast coated with a sweet and spicy sesame sauce. The dish was created in the 1950s by chef Peng Chang-Kuei in Taipei, Taiwan.

Though you might think this recipe is complicated, you’ll be surprised to know it’s pretty easy to throw together! You can use almost any type of protein (chicken breast or thigh, pork loin or tenderloin), but for our version, we went with boneless skinless chicken breast cut into cubes and fried until they turned brown on all sides.

This cold dish is a common appetizer during the summertime in China. The dish can also be served as an entrée to accompany rice on the dinner table.

Directions

Step 1

In a bowl, add following ingredients Soy Sauce,Ginger and Garlic minced,Chicken mix it well and rest for 5 minutes.

Step 2

In a pot add sesame oil and add step 1 ingredients cook for 12 minutes in medium heat.

Step 3

Serve immediately with a generous pinch of brown sugar, pepper, sesame seed & scallion
